FROM MY BACKYARD
Drawing a Photo
The third Part: The Couple
Third Part: The Couple. Teaneck, Bergen County, New Jersey.
The scene was repeated day after day, they were already seen closer to each other, it is curious, he always came first, and she always left first. One day the closeness became noticeably short, it appeared as she was talking to him, they walked awfully close together, until I saw them when they joined their beaks. I could not see if he passed food or just put his little beaks together. I loved it, and I was looking forward to seeing if they would repeat it, not that day. For a couple of days in a row it was repeated, it was only once then they separated and kept eating on each other side. I decided that would be the "different" photo I wanted. Willing to obtain it, I put together my photographic equipment, a camera with a 35mm sensor, a zoom telescope set to 600mm. I anchored it in the bath that we have in the back of the house and used its small window as a hidden observer to not scare the birds that came to eat here including my two "friends".
